Newton Abbot season preview 2016
Paul Nicholls continues to be the leading trainer at the course with 39 winners over the last five years, at a strike rate of 31%. Last year, it was John Ferguson who was the punters’ friend, hitting the target with half of his 16 runners, but his stable will be closing next month as he concentrates on his role with the worldwide Godolphin operation.

Record prize money commitment for Newton Abbot Racecourse in 2016
As the countdown to the first race of the new 2016 season at Newton Abbot Racecourse continues, the racecourse is pleased to announce a record prize money commitment for 2016, following the signing of a prize money agreement with the Horsemen’s Group and the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) in 2013.

150 years of racing excellence at Newton Abbot Racecourse
On the 10 August we celebrated our 150th anniversary with a fantastic afternoon of racing action. We gave away a free goodie bag to the first 200 adults through the gates and there was a gift for the first 200 children through the gates too.
