Alongside the excitement of live racing, we’ll have bouncy castles, face painting, and our popular play park open to keep the little ones entertained all day long. Plus, keep an eye out for Blaze, our friendly racecourse mascot, who appears at regular intervals throughout the day for meet and greets and plenty of photo opportunities. Whether you’re a racing regular or planning your first visit, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a day out with the whole family.
Meet a Racing Legend – Native River
We’re thrilled to welcome Native River, one of the greatest staying chasers of the modern era, to Newton Abbot Racecourse for our All About the Horse raceday. Winner of the 2018 Cheltenham Gold Cup, Native River was renowned for his bold, front-running style and incredible stamina. Now enjoying retirement, he continues to inspire fans and horse lovers alike. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet a true champion up close, hear his story, and celebrate the vital work being done to support former racehorses in their life after racing.
Visit the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), to find out more about their mission to safeguard the wellbeing of all former racehorses. https://www.ror.org.uk

The bar will stay open and we'll have pork baps available to purchase.
