Whether you’re entering your pooch or just enjoying the fun, expect wagging tails, family-friendly competition, and plenty of “awws” throughout the day. A must-see for animal lovers of all ages!
The Dog Show will have lots of categories from Best Male Dog to Best Veteran to Waggiest Tail as well as best working dog. To join this great fun event simply book on the day! Click here to view the running order and times. It's only £2 to enter and all funds raised will go to a great dog charity called Devon Dog Behaviour Rehab Rehome. There will also be dog racing where you let your dog run a distance.
We will have over 25 outside market stalls and over 50 inside craft and gift stalls giving you a great chance to browse and buy from a fantastic range of local traders and talented artisans. From handmade goods and country crafts to unique gifts, there's something special waiting at every stall. It’s the perfect spot to pick up a keepsake or unique present.
Tempt your tastebuds with delicious food available throughout the day. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty or a sweet treat, you’ll find a variety of food options to keep you fuelled and refreshed as you explore the show. Our Silks barista coffee café will be open with delicious cakes and coffees. Alfresco our fast food café with the decking near the beer garden will be open for snacks and lunches. Our hog roast tent will be available and also our food trailer. There will also be a selection of other traders selling a variety of food including Loaded fries, Lazy Hare Bites, JJ Meats BBQ, Taw Valley Cheese and Sweet Dreams and of course our yummy ice cream vans.
Enjoy a day bursting with activities and live experiences for the whole family! From toe-tapping live music to the delight of pony rides for younger visitors, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the classic cars display and our kids fun area, perfect for burning off some energy while parents relax.
Some of the highlights include the return of the Dartmoor Hill Pony Display Team, South Devon Hunt, Canine Capers with their Dog Agility and the Newton Bushell Morris Dancers.
We will also have some live music with a local teenage band called Collision and a great Country Music band called The Oo-de-lallys – this will be in our beer garden.
We will also be welcoming the Torbay Owls who will have a selection of birds on display for all to see and also Poppins Pottery will be running a pottery painting workshop – great opportunity to make some memorable gifts and momentos. For the children we will have a large area of bouncy castles and inflatables for them to have a bounce on. We also welcome the return of Devon Bushcraft and their axe throwing and this year the Torquay Co of Archers will be joining us and you will be able to discovery your archery skills.
This year will be the last time the Humaryn Shetland Ponies will be joining us as Hugh and Marilyn are retiring – so don’t miss the opportunity for your little ones to enjoy a miniature pony ride.
It’s a full day of fun from 10am to 4pm! So much to do and see and take part in – such a great fun family day out.
