Craft & Gift Fair 2023 FAQS

Ahead of the return of the Newton Abbot Craft & Gift Fair at Newton Abbot Racecourse this Saturday 1 April, here is a quick round-up of everything you need to know for your visit:

When is the Newton Abbot Craft & Gift Fair?
The Newton Abbot Craft & Gift Fair takes place at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday 1 April between 10am and 4pm.

How much does it cost to visit the Craft & Gift Fair?
Entry to this year’s Craft & Gift Fair costs just £2 for adults, children go free. No need to book ahead – tickets are available on the gate on the day.

How many exhibitors are at the Craft & Gift Fair?
We have a wonderful line-up of exhibitors at this year’s Craft & Gift fair including over 70 indoor stalls and over 20 outdoors. There’ll be products for all budgets and occasions. Take a little look at some of this year’s exhibitors – Craft & Gift Fair 2023

What workshops are available and how do I book?
New for 2023 is the addition of a number of craft workshops including:
- FURZIE Wool Sculpture Workshops with Michelle Hickman – BOOK WORKSHOP
- JUST GINGER Children’s workshop with Kirsty Fee – BOOK WORKSHOP
- ROCK YOUR KNOTS OFF Macrame Plant Hanger Workshop With Sam – BOOK WORKSHOP
- FLOWER ARRANGING WORKSHOP with Newton Abbot Flower Club – BOOK WORKSHOP

Workshops range from £7.50 – £18 including tuition and materials. To guarantee your space, please book online in advance.

Subject to availability, workshop places may also be available to book on the day. Please enquire at the main entrance when you arrive.

Will food and drink be available?
A delicious menu of food will be available in the Paddock Room on the first floor, serving a range of breakfast snacks, lunches and yummy cakes. Take a look at the Craft & Gift Fair menu – Craft & Gift Fair Menu

Is there a cash machine?
There will not be a cash machine available on site. Whilst a lot of exhibitors do accept card payments, not all will. We would advise bringing some cash with you to be on the safe side. The nearest cash point to the racecourse is at Tesco, just opposite the main entrance to the racecourse.

Can I park at the racecourse?
Yes, there is ample free parking at the racecourse. Please enter the racecourse via the main entrance, off the roundabout opposite Tesco. You will be directed to a parking space by our friendly parking stewards.

A disabled parking area will be available within the main car park.

Is there a lift?
Yes, there is a lift available to help visitors reach the first floor of the racecourse.

Are dogs allowed?
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are only allowed at the bar end of the café and are asked to be kept away from the main food area.

Can I exhibit at the event?
Exhibitor places for this year’s Craft & Gift fair are now sold out. However, to be amongst the first to hear when spaces become available for future events at Newton Abbot Racecourse, please email jenny@newtonabbotracing.com
