Join Michelle to make a delightful felt egg cosy. This workshop is suitable for beginners and children 12 year + (with accompanying adult). Each workshop lasts approximately 1 HOUR

LOCATION: Ground Floor in Owners and Trainers Bar opposite the Parade Ring (access from outside).
Furzie is offering hour-long workshops to make your own needle-felted chicken egg cosy and take home your kit and materials to make another.
Workshops at 10.30am 1pm and 2.30pm. This workshop costs just £10 inc. all materials to make two chicken egg cosies, foam mat and needles to keep. Kits with instructions will also be available to buy – if you wish to have a chicken takeaway. (Ages 12+)
Furzie has been teaching the craft for eight years and has taught over 2000 people, as well as selling commissions all over the world. Come and say hello, learn about the craft and see a display of her creations. Talk about commissioning a piece, joining a course or hosting a party in your own home. Furzie now has her own venue and workshop in Langport, South Somerset.
Easter Biscuit decorating
Each child will receive 5 biscuits to decorate and be able to make up a lovely paper basket to hold them.
Parents will need to be near by and for smaller children maybe support a little.
Each workshop lasts approximately 30 minute

Kirsty’s gingerbread recipe is what it’s all about. Kirsty has been making gingerbread gifts for nearly 3 decades and when her children came along, their parties always featured themed gingerbread decorating activities for their friends to take home- for a long as it was cool. With the family growing up and away and having stopped working as an Occupational Therapist for the NHS, Kirsty finds that she has a little more time and still wants to be creative and share her lovely biscuits. Kirsty is confident with children, having run Sunday school sessions for years but she really just loves meeting new people- craft fairs and workshops of all types giving her so much enjoyment.
Just Ginger was born, testing the waters just over 12 months ago, and Kirsty’s creative biscuits have gone down a storm. From party kits and edible gifts, to snacks to enjoy with a cup of tea, Just Ginger has it covered.
Join Sam to make a beautiful macrame plant hanger. This workshop is suitable for adults and lasts approximately 1 HOUR 30 minutes

Macrame is the art of knotting string in patterns to create decorative articles. Join Sam, owner of Rock Your Knots Off Macrame in making a macrame plant hanger that you can make and take home the same day.
Join the ladies from Newton Abbot Flower Club to make a beautiful Easter themed flower arrangement to take home.
This workshop is suitable for adults and lasts approximately 2 hours.

Please note that entry to this year’s Craft and Gift Fair is NOT included in the workshop price and is payable at the gate on the day.
The Craft and Gift Fair returns to Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday 1 April 2023. Join us and a wonderful selection of the regions best-loved craft and gift businesses for a jam-packed day of great shopping and crafting (with some delicious food thrown in for good measure).
Open from 10am until 4pm, entry is just £2 for adults and children go FREE.
