Update from event hosts: Quest Festival has some amazing opportunities for traders, exhibitors and advertisers to reach a very well-targeted demographic at this year’s festival from 24th-27th July 2014 at Newton Abbot Racecourse.
Former jump jockey turned trainer Seamus Durack sent out 5/4 favourite BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY from his base at Baydon in Wiltshire to land The Visit Newton Abbot Racecourse On Facebook Maiden Hurdle Race 2m 3f. The opener was run at a respectable gallop and the winner and his main rival in the market Maxi Chop were well clear and locked together until the favourites stamina kicked in on the run-in enabling him to win by half a length.
Newton Abbot stages its second meeting of the month on Monday with a seven-race card that gets underway at 2.10pm with the At The Races Virgin 534 Novices’ Hurdle.
The big race of the afternoon is the third, the Class 3 Paignton Zoo Handicap Chase over an extended two miles and five furlongs and the SIS Bringing Betting To Life Novices´ Handicap Hurdle brings the card to a close at 5.10pm.
