Our season finale will give our winning owners the chance to claim a £10,000 bonus on top of their prize money, courtesy of the Racehorse Owners Association.
2.30: This looks an excellent opportunity for Auteuil hurdle winner SON DU BERLAIS to open his account for his new yard. Irish point winner Nordic Run could be a danger on debut for his new connections, whilst Val D’arc has to be respected on his efforts at Worcester in May when third over two miles.
PLACEPOT: 1
It was a fairytale return to the saddle for Jason Maguire who cruised to an unchallenged nine length win on BONNE FEE in The Royal British Legion Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle 2m 3f. The seven year old mare trained by Kim Bailey was always handily placed and swept to the front after the third last to make it a hat-trick of hurdle victories. The Nick Mitchell trained Clovers Revenge chased the winner from the second last but with no chance stayed on at one pace to take second place.
2.15: Norfolk Sky a prolific winner on the Flat hasn’t really built on her second victory over hurdles at Wincanton in May so we will burden BONNE FEE with our selection. She made it back-to-back wins on her last two starts at Bangor and Cartmel with plenty in hand, Rest And Be won a bumper here last year but was well beaten when seventh to Manjakani on debut. Winning pointer Dawnieriver makes her debut here under rules and the market will indicate her chances.
