Recruitment Open Day at Newton Abbot Racecourse

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences ahead of our 2025 season here at Newton Abbot Racecourse.

Whether you’re a student looking for a job that fits around your schedule, a parent seeking to balance work with family commitments, or retired and looking for something to put your existing skills to good use, we have positions available that offer flexibility and competitive rates of pay.

As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to develop valuable skills, work alongside supportive colleagues, and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.

We have 18 fixtures from the 10th April through to the 29th October, as well as some exciting events outside of the racing calendar.

Please note, the minimum age for each role is 16 years old and 18 years old for bar work
– we welcome applications from senior members of the community.

Experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided.

We are looking for staff for the following roles:

• Car park marshals
• Ticket sales
• Ticket scanning and checking
• Customer hosts to greet and assist customers
• Raceday programme sellers
• Litter picking and bin emptying
• Outdoor marshals on various positions interacting with customers
• Track staff to work on the fences and ground repair work after racedays
• Bar staff and bar support staff
• Clearing staff to clear tables and to keep areas clean and tidy
• Waiters and Waitresses
• Hospitality box hosts and hostesses
• Food servers on our various food counters
• Kitchen porters
• Chefs
  
  We are holding a recruitment open day on Wednesday 26th February 2025 from midday to 3.30pm.
  
  If you are interested in any of the above positions, please come along to our open day to meet existing staff and to discuss the roles with our department managers.
