Race Abandoned: Monday 15 July

Following an inspection this morning, we are disappointed to announce that today’s meeting (Monday 15 July) has been abandoned.

Following 5mm of rain this morning, a false area of ground by the Winning Post has developed with no way of by-passing. With more rain forecast conditions are likely to deteriorate further.

These decisions are not taken lightly, but horse & rider safety are our main priority.

In light of this cancellation, racegoers who have purchased tickets for the event will be issued a full refund, ensuring fairness to all attendees.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we process these refunds promptly – usually within 7-10 working days.

With no plans for rescheduling this race, attention turns to the next fixture on the racing calendar.

The next raceday at Newton Abbot Racecourse is scheduled for Sunday 21 July 2024 (Family Fun Day).
