FREE Wellbeing Workshops - Newton Abbot Wellbeing Show

Did you know that when you join us at the Newton Abbot Wellbeing Show on Saturday 3 June, you’ll be able to join in with our Wellbeing Workshops for no extra charge?

Over the course of the day, twelve incredible workshops will be taking place to boost your wellbeing in countless ways. Take a look at some of the workshops available and start planning your day.

Workshops taking place in Silks Café (Ground floor at end of Hall 2, next to lift)

11.15am – 11.45am ~ JANE TAYLORDOWSING FOR WELLBEING ~

Explore how the ancient art of dowsing can be used to support your own Wellbeing. Introducing you to the practical skill of how to use a pendulum, asking the appropriate questions and following a protocol for the use of dowsing for everyday living, health and wellbeing.

During this worship you will have the opportunity to dowse items, charts and lists. Please bring a pendulum if you have one, pen and paper. Pendulums will be available to borrow.

12.00pm – 12.30pm ~ SANDRA RADAVANOVICDIANETICS ~

Discover how past negative moments in life can impact you now and discover techniques to alleviate them.

12.45pm – 1.15pm ~ CHARLOTTE KINGPROMOTING GOOD MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING ~

This interactive and educational workshop will give you a good understanding of how the mind works in relation to how stress, anxiety and low mood are created and you will leave with some practical strategies to own your mental health.

1.30pm – 2.00pm ~ SARI YOULDEN—TEMPLE SPA WELLNESS SESSION ~

At Temple Spa, wellbeing and wellness is our heartland. We create exceptional skincare and body care products, also spa experiences and stress relieving rituals that make a real difference to your skin and soul health.

Our complimentary Wellness sessions are ideal for giving you tips and techniques to create a restful and mindful pause, when needed, wherever you find yourself. Using our award winning Mediterranean inspired aromatherapy products, packed full of essential oils and botanicals, we will lead you through a 30 minutes relaxing de-stress ritual to ease some of the tensions you find yourself carrying. We believe that your body is a living temple — honour it, enjoy life and live it to the full.

11.15am – 11.45am ~ ERICA MORRIS—CULTIVATING A MEDITATION PRACTICE ~

Meditation—a short talk on benefits of regular mediation and a demonstration for people how to meditate with ease.

12.00pm – 12.30pm ~ CONRAD ROBINSONQIGONG FOR HEALTH ~

Tao Yin Qigong for Health. Exercises combining gentle movement and breathing to improve general health and wellbeing.

12.45pm – 1.15pm ~ DR CLAIRE RYAN CHIROPRACTICCHIROPRACTIC AND THE NERVOUS SYSTEM ~

Chiropractic is a healthcare profession that cares for a patient’s neuromusculoskeletal system — the bones, nerves, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. A chiropractor helps manage back and neck pain through the use of spinal adjustments to maintain good alignment.

1.30pm – 2.00pm ~ JEFF SLEEMAN—COMEDY DRAMA IMPROVISATION ~

A light-hearted and fun way to connect with others in a safe and relaxed environment whilst developing useful life skills and increasing your self confidence. No previous performance experience required.

You will be playing simple word games and creating improvised dialogue together (think “Whose line is it anyway”)

Suitable for all ages and levels of ability.

*2.15pm – 2.45pm ~ BARBARA SEALEY-BOWERS ~ VIBRATIONAL SOUND HEART CENTRED MEDITATION

Join Barbara Sealey-Bowers for this beautiful Meditation experience.

During your time together, you will settle into a group meditation that focusses on the Heart Centre. The aim is to experience the vibrational sound, to relax and feel an ease within our body.

The Meditation will include Intrinsic sound and also the healing power of the Solfeggio Heart Chakra Crystal singing bowl.

Everyone is welcome, beginners to meditation or regular meditators. If you would like to sit on the floor, or on a chair, Barbara can help you feel comfortable.

11.15am 11.45pm ~ DAVID REES—MAKING FRIENDS WITH OUR EMOTIONS ~

Join me for a grounded, practical and interactive workshop designed to help you deal with, manage and make friends with challenging emotion in a safe, gentle, healthy way. I will be sharing various simple tools that can easily be used in everyday life, the principles are based on mindfulness and the non dual teachings of the east and apply to anything that challenges us, whether that is physical pain, intrusive thought or life situations.

12.00pm – 12.30pm ~ LINDY STRONGTECHNOLOGY INFORMATION ~

Information on a variety of ground breaking technologies for health and wellness available at our centre in Totnes.

We will be showcasing: Rife Technology, Solar Wave Technology, Terahertz Technology, Pulsed Electromagnextic Therapy (Pemf) Hyperthermic Ozone Carbonic Acid Transdermal Therapy (Hocatt) Electronic Gem Therapy Machine & Others.
